Blessing The Children

And they brought to him young children, that He should touch them...
(Luke 18:15 Wycliffe New Testament)
I am so thankful for the opportunity to co-labor with the Lord and with the family of Christ to see His purposes accomplished in the life of each child here at the orphanage. During some of my recent times in prayer, I have felt the Lord’s desire for us to personally pray over and anoint each child. When I talked to the leadership, they were sensing the same guidance from the Lord.
This past week, Jodie (our Medical Director) and I began spending time with each child to minister and pray over them. My heart has been touched by the wonderful destiny the Lord has for each one of His treasures. As we have prayed, the Lord has given us deeper glimpses into His heart for them. We have been able to come into agreement through prayer with His desires for their lives. He has also revealed more deeply to my heart the importance of reading scripture over the children. He has given us special passages to read to each of them. His presence has been with us in such a tender and loving way.
Each child has special gifts. Each one of them reveals the beauty of who God is through their uniquely different personalities and characteristics. I am in awe of how His hand has divinely brought each child here, and at His faithfulness to care for His children. I thank you all for your prayers, and encourage you to continue to co-labor with us in praying for His will to be done in the life of each child the Lord has brought to us. Our prayers and agreement in Him are important and effective. The New Living Translation of James 5:16 reads this way: “The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results.” Earnest prayer refers to continual, active and passionate prayers. I am encouraged by the Lord even more that He is moving and working in the lives of these children through our passionate prayers. Thank you for being a part! |
