GREETINGS FROM SEVASTOPOL, UKRAINE!
There are so many exciting things to share with you. Right now, we are rapidly preparing for the arrival of our summer teams who will help us minister at orphan summer camps for the next six weeks. The first team will arrive on June 20th. Please keep these teams in your prayers as well as the many orphans they will be sharing the love of Jesus with during the camps. The last team will depart on August 1st. Andy and I plan on returning to the States around August 5th to prepare for the exciting arrival of our precious baby girl on September 17th.
We will return to Ukraine around March 1st after we have completed our annual winter speaking schedule. We are planning to speak in as many churches as possible while we are home. We have many open dates available to speak between October and February. If you would like to have us come and share with your home group, church, youth group, or any other type of gathering just let us know. We would be happy to come and share about all that God has been doing here in Ukraine as well as share an encouraging word to inspire individuals to action in their own lives. The Lord has been doing more this past year than we ever imagined.
One of our biggest concerns every time we leave Ukraine is who will take care of our kids and continue watering all of the seeds that have been sown into their lives. As most of you know, Jared and Amanda White traveled to Ukraine with us last February. While they were here they developed wonderful relationships both with the kids we work with and with our friends and ministry partners here in Ukraine. During their time with us in Sevastopol, the Lord gave them a vision to return and continue working with the kids while we were in the States having a baby (true team players!). The Lord’s orchestration of all of this has been miraculous and amazing. Jared and Amanda are currently back in the States raising support and preparing to return for the Fall. We are so excited to see how the Lord is going to continue to use them here in Sevastopol.
We have some serious needs we would like you to pray about with us. Since we will be returning to the States from August through February we are in great need of housing for that period of time. If you are aware of any available housing, missionary housing, spare apartments, or someone who needs a family to house-sit in the Orange County area, please let us know. Otherwise, please pray for the Lord’s supernatural and speedy provision.
Also, please continue to pray for the financial support of Operation Lazarus. As we are adding more people to the team and more kids to Wednesday night dinners, the financial needs are increasing. We are so thankful to those of you who have been so faithful to pray and to give even in these challenging times. The seed you have been sowing is multiplying rapidly. Also, please pray for a healthy and speedy delivery of our baby and a smooth transition into parenthood!
