Andy & Jaimee's Update

A new season has begun in our lives with the exciting arrival of our beautiful baby girl, Andee Joye! She is so sweet, peaceful and very pretty. Of course that is probably what you expect to hear from new parents, but in our case, it really is true!

Andee Joye was born September 14, 2009 at 10:09 PM at Mission Hospital in Mission Viejo, CA. She weighed in at 8 lbs. 1 oz and was 19.5 inches long. She came out cute as a button with blue eyes, a full head of dark hair and despite our best hopes, skin as pale as her parents! Click here for a larger picture!

We are so excited that in spite of our temporary absence from Sevastopol, Ukraine, the outreach to teenage orphans continues to grow! Jared and Amanda White and Anya and Sasha Zelenenko are doing an amazing job connecting with new kids who we established relationship with at summer camp, as well as making inroads at the orphanages themselves.

They have visited both of the orphanages located in Sevastopol as well as one of the facilities for children with mental challenges. They were just invited to begin putting on a weekly program at one of the orphanages and the facility for mentally challenged children. This is no small miracle! We have been trying to get a breakthrough inside those government - run orphanages for some time! We rejoice at this open door!

Also, more kids are joining them for family nights than ever and they have moved forward with our plans for a New Testament-style gathering on Saturday nights to give the kids an opportunity to grow spiritually in a participatory and relevant atmosphere.
